Bernard Madoff, who is serving a 150-year sentence for running a fraud scheme that cost investors billions of dollars, is apparently at it again in prison. Prison officials have admitted Madoff has perfected a scheme to sell entire cartons of cigarettes for the chance to manage a fellow prisoner's weekly wages through a program he has nicknamed, "Smokes and Fire." The National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) has confirmed it has no jurisdiction over cigarette transactions in cell blocks. (Associated Press)
